HB 509, also known as the "Human Trafficking Prevention Act", would amend Title 10 of the O.C.G.A. to require certain products sold by retailers to contain a digital blocking capability to block access to obscene material (as defined in ยง16-12-80), child pornography, and websites known to facilitate prostitution and the trafficking of persons for sexual servitude. Consumers can request the blocking capability be deactivated for a one-time fee that would be deposited into the newly established Georgia Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Trust Fund. |
